Wade scores 20,000th point

Dwyane Wade got a hug from close friend LeBron James before the game, a milestone in the third quarter, a rest for the entire fourth quarter and an easy win to enjoy when it was over.

Wade scored 24 points and became the 41st player in NBA history to reach 20,000, and the host Miami Heat led wire-to-wire in beating the Cleveland Cavaliers 122-101 on Saturday.

Goran Dragic had 18 points and 11 assists for Miami, and Hassan Whiteside finished with 16 points and 13 rebounds. Miami led by a seasonhigh 33 at one point.

James had 26 points for

Thunder 115, Pacers 111: Russell Westbrook had his second triple-double in two nights (14 points, 11 rebounds and 14 assists), Kevin Durant had 33 points and 13 rebounds, and visiting Oklahoma City overcame Paul George’s 45 points. George missed a tying three with 5.9 seconds left.

Hawks 109, Rockets 97: Al Horford scored 22 points and host Atlanta continued to feast on Western Conference teams. The Hawks have won eight of nine, and six straight against West teams. Michael Beasley led Houston with 30 points.

Bulls 92, Jazz 85: Derrick Rose scored 22 points as host Chicago snapped Utah’s four-game winning streak. Chicago, which was playing without Pau Gasol ( knee swelling) and E’Twaun Moore ( hamstring), remained in eighth place in the Eastern Conference. Derrick Favors led the Jazz with 24 points.

Grizzlies 113, Clippers 102: Returning after seven games off for a sore knee, Zach Randolph recorded his first career triple-double with 28 points, 11 rebounds and 10 assists for Memphis. Tony Allen had 22 points.

Pistons 115, Nets 103: Anthony Tolliver scored all 17 of his points in the second half and Aron Baynes scored 17 of his 21 in the fourth quarter to lift host Detroit. Brooklyn big man Brook Lopez missed the game with a virus.

Wizards 99, Knicks 89: John Wall had 24 points and 10 assists, and host Washington rallied from an 18-point, second-quarter deficit to win its fourth straight. Kristaps Porzingis and Carmelo Anthony led New York with 20 points each.

Nuggets 101, Hornets 93: D.J. Augustin scored 24 points on 8-of-11 shooting, and Denver snapped a three-game road losing streak. Nicolas Batum had 24 points, nine assists and eight rebounds and Jeremy Lin had 16 points for Charlotte.
