Still vulnerable

So there will be security checkpoints at the Pride festival after all, at great cost and inconvenience. As we queue up to enter, the Brussels airport attack (outside its checkpoints, just three months ago) will be at the top of my mind. Are we not more vulnerable standing in long lines at such events?
