Broun Fellinis mark 25th anniversary

- — Aidin Vaziri

When a band has stuck around the Bay Area club scene as long as the Broun Fellinis — this year marks the group’s 25th anniversary — it’s definitely cause for celebration. The self-described group of “Afro surrealist improvisors” headline a bash, bringing with them their extensive catalog of envelope-pushing compositions and a list of collaborators that includes Spearhead’s MC Radioactive, DJ the Baroness, members of Radio Sofia and Bang Data.

To mark the milestone year, the Broun Fellinis are releasing 25 recordings throughout 2016, composed of live recordings, singles, remixes, solo joints and more via the group’s official website, at www.brounsoun.com, just to get you properly hyped for this monumental show.

Broun Fellinis: 8 p.m. Saturday, June 25. $25. Great American Music Hall, 859 O’Farrell St., S.F. www.slimspresents.com
