HOROSCOPE

Starcast

- By Minerva

The week gets off to a rousing start as Venus slips into her favorite sign, Libra. One-on-one relationships (particularly romantic) are highlighted. Then along comes a solar eclipse in Virgo to rain on the parade. Aries (March 19-April 18) The solar eclipse lobs a work/ health missive directly at you. Maybe that sounds ho-hum to a rollicking Ram like you, but those two nitty-gritty items are what makes your life work — or not work. Taurus (April 19-May 19) You feel downright lascivious, an indication of all that planetary hanky-panky in your pleasure zone. Tuesday’s solar eclipse is a reminder of the tightrope you walk between higher love and baser instincts. Gemini (May 20-June 19) Where and how you live still says plenty about who and what you are. Some kind of upgrade is essential — if “only” hiring a first-rate cleaning person. Cancer (June 20-July 21) Tuesday’s powerful new moon sparks a moment of truth in your charm and chat center. The time’s come to poll the experts. Plunging ahead and just hoping for the best can place you on a disaster course. Leo (July 22-Aug. 21) Here’s the drill: Jupiter chairs your shared resources sector, while the sun and new moon throw their combined weight around that all-important counting house. Time now to trust the intuitive process. Virgo (Aug. 22-Sept. 21) Tuesday’s solar eclipse joins the mesmerizing sun in your sign. We’re talking force to be reckoned with. If anyone deserves limelight, pampering and goodies, it’s you. Libra (Sept. 22-Oct. 21) Jupiter in your house of secrets continues to bring luck, but beware of an edgy secret. The new moon adds sudden vulnerability to the stew.

Scorpio (Oct. 22-Nov. 20) Cosmic connections favor an old-boy approach. Club membership can be an excellent investment. Do a discreet survey of interest groups and professional organizations. On Tuesday, take a cool hard look at friends and colleagues.

Sagittarius (Nov. 21-Dec. 20) You skip cheerfully down the Yellow Brick Road. Try to retain that upbeat stance when Tuesday’s solar eclipse introduces a confrontational authority figure into your house of public standing.

Capricorn (Dec. 21-Jan. 19) You’ve lots of irons in the fire — travel is a possibility, as is higher education. You know what you want. The trick is to disengage from dependents — while maintaining some connection.

Aquarius (Jan. 20-Feb. 17) Fantasy is all to the good until you consider the s-word — as in security. Tuesday’s eclipse acts as a wake-up call in the area of shared resources. Hopefully you’ve got that department wired.

Pisces (Feb. 18-March 18) The sun and new moon stand together in your one-on-one sector. During this passionate period, fish coo like lovebirds or fight like dogs and cats. Look for the meaning of it all Tuesday.

Q: I’m triple Aquarius, Aries rising. 1/30/59. The last 15 years have been arduous, devoted chiefly to care giving. I am exhausted and bleak about where my future may end up. No one I know born in ’59 is having a good life. Was 1959 a cursed year to be born? A: No. The problem is that you are going through your second Saturn return. The astrological explanation is that this is the period in our lives when Saturn completes its orbit around the sun, coinciding with the time of our birth. Everything you thought you wanted comes into question. Having survived two solar returns, I can promise that there really is life at the end of the tunnel. It’s a matter of questioning: Who are you? What do you want? In the meantime, let go of draggy situations and people.
