Charles Farrugia entered into rest on September 18, 2016 surrounded by his wife and children. Survived by his wife Mary Ann of 53 years, loving father of Roseann (Brian), and Pete (Deanna). Survived by his cherished grandchild­ren, James, Lauren, Marisa, Ryan, and Brody. Charles is survived by his sisters Josephine, Rita and Mary and preceded in death by his parents Carmelo and Rosario, brothers, Willie, John, and Gigi. Also, survived by many nieces and nephews.

Charles immigrated from Msida, Malta to Canada in 1948 and then to the United States in 1961. Charles worked at Macy’s as a warehousem­an for 29 years before enjoying retirement. He was an avid stamp, baseball card collector and enjoyed bowling, bingo, and watching the SF Giants and SF 49ers. He spent many of his Sunday’s playing cards with friends at the Maltese American Social Club. He was a man of tremendous faith and volunteere­d as an usher at St. Veronica’s Parish for many years.

He was a loving son, brother, husband, father, and nanu. We love you and will miss you.

We would like to extend our deepest gratitude to the staff of Nobis Care Home for the loving and compassion­ate care given.

Family and friends may visit on Wednesday, September 21, 2016 after 6:00pm at Duggan’s Serra Mortuary, 500 Westlake Avenue, Daly City, with a Vigil Service beginning at 7:00pm. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday, September 22, 2016 at 9:30am at St. Veronica’s Catholic Church located at 434 Alida Way, South San Francisco. Followed by Committal at Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery, 1500 Old Mission Road, Colma.
