Fetishists to take over Folsom at annual celebration of kinks

- — Ryan Kost

You have a few more days to practice your knots and condition your harness — or whatever your kink requires. Folsom Street Fair, which bills itself as the world’s largest leather event, is back Sunday, Sept. 25, with more than a dozen blocks dedicated to fetishes and fetishists of all sorts.

This fair is the real deal with coat (and everything else) checks and live performances that feature people bound up in ropes and suspended from hooks, among other displays. As always, the fair, which runs from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., features a wide range of bands and DJs, including, on the main stage, Adult, Yacht and Dragonette. Over at the “Deviants Dance District” (that would be the area between 12th and 13th streets on Folsom), be sure to catch DJs Jasmine Infiniti and Roi Perez.

The fair is free, but if you donate $10 or more at the entrance, you’ll get $2 off drinks all day. There’s also an official after-party and a long list of unofficial get-downs to keep you going.
