A mellow double bill with Leon and Lianne
Leon Bridges feels like a blast from the past — all sharkskin suits and the sweet tones of mid-’60s R&B radio. His retrominded debut album, “Coming Home,” has earned the 27-year-old crooner from Fort Worth, Texas, fans in high places — he performed for President Obama at the White House — and a Grammy nomination.
Now Bridges will share the stage at the Greek Theatre in Berkeley with Lianne La Havas, a South London singer who specializes in beautiful, airy folk ballads. She’s touring in support of her second album, “Blood,” which draws a deeper jazz influence on tracks like “Tokyo” and “What You Don’t Do.”
Leon Bridges/Lianne La Havas: 8 p.m. Friday, Sept. 23. $45. Greek Theatre, 2001 Gayley Road, Berkeley. www.ticket master.com
