It’s been two years in the making, but those who bet that Graton Resort and Casino would eventually live up to the first part of its name can expect a payout Nov. 15. That’s when 200 hotel rooms and suites open at the Rohnert Park gaming and entertainment complex, owned by the Federated Indians of Graton Rancheria.

Since the casino opened in November 2013, “we’ve always had relationships with nearby hotels, some within shouting distance,” noted General Manager Joe Hasson. “And we’ve always had resort attributes, such as a range of restaurants, bars and lounges, and entertainment. Now the lodging component will fulfill all the elements of our name, and a guest will seamlessly be able to leave the casino, jump in an elevator and ride to their room.”

Once there, they’ll discover a “casually elegant” room, with more than 500 square feet for standard units, Hasson said. Bathrooms are also spacious, with soaking bathtubs, stand-alone showers and double basins. The 16 suites include additional living areas, wet bars and “as much audio-video electronic wizardry as we can fit,” he added.

Along with lodgings, the new hotel will offer a 10,000-square-foot spa and salon, with men’s and women’s locker rooms, tranquillity areas, dry and steam saunas, cold room with hot plunge, and more, according to Hasson. A fitness room, new lobby bar and lounge, and sit-down Boathouse Asian restaurant — joining three other full-service restaurants on site — will also open Nov. 15.
