Samee Jane Aron

-

July 3, 1936 - December 16, 2016

Samee Jane Aron passed away peacefully on December 16th at the age of 80 after only been diagnosed with an aggressive cancer a month prior. As Samee joins her husband Don in the hereafter, she leaves her 3 sons David, and the twins Daniel and Denton Williams behind. Her sons gave her 11 beautiful grandchildren to add to her legacy.

Samee was the only child of James and Henrietta Shaughnessy born in Tulare, CA. She then moved to Modesto at the age of 12 after her mother’s passing and became a part of the First Graduating Class at Thomas Downey High School in Modesto. Her deep devotion to education led her to receive her bachelor’s degree from Stanislaus State while raising her 3 sons.

Samee was crowned Miss Modesto in 1954, which then allowed her to compete in the Miss California pageant in Santa Cruz. She later moved and raised her boys in Foster City and spent her last 20 years at Rossmoor in Walnut Creek.

Samee had many interests and passions, some of which included reading, painting and gardening. She was blessed to have lifelong friends who knew her to be an elegantly fun woman with a fiercely independent soul who loved to entertain.

Samee’s dying wish was to not have a funeral but for everyone that knew her to celebrate her life in their own special way, preferably a toast in her honor with a drink in hand. Even though Samee’s passing came quickly there was nothing left unsaid. She will be missed by everyone who had the distinct pleasure of knowing her.
