Anthony Angelo Devencenzi age 67, of Petaluma California died suddenly of a heart attack on April 9th in San Mateo on his way to his famous fantasy baseball draft.

Born and raised in San Francisco, Tony attended Parkside Elementary, Hoover Junior High, and then graduated from Sacred Heart High in 1967. He attended San Francisco City College while working parttime at UPS. That part-time job turned into a life-long career. He also served in the Army Reserves. Tony’s many interests included family, friends and sports, in no specific order.

Tony, is preceded in death by his parents Angelo and Lee and his brother Daniel. He is survived by his loving wife Pat (Rock), his son Dan (Kyna), his stepsons Ron (Mary), Mike (Connie) and grandchild­ren, Nick and Emily Devencenzi and Máire Rock. He is also survived by his brothers John (Patti), Dave (Char) and Mike (Rebecca) and numerous nieces and nephews.

Tony had many loves including golfing with family and friends, touring major league parks, regular travels to Tahoe, vacations to Hawaii and his famous fantasy baseball league of 46 years.

A memorial service will be held at the parish he was a member of, St. James Catholic Church in Petaluma on Saturday, April 22nd at 10am. In lieu of flowers Tony asked that donations to be made to either the Lee Devencenzi Cardinal Newman Scholarshi­p Fund 50 Ursuline Rd, Santa Rosa Ca, 95403, or to Sacred Heart High School in San Francisco.
