Born February 1, 1928 in Reno, Nevada; passed away in peace surrounded by her family on April 18, 2017 in Belmont, California. Mary was 89 at the time of her passing due to a cerebral stroke she suffered on April 11. She was preceded in death by her husband Malcolm of 57 years in 2010, and had lived most recently at Sunrise of Belmont to be closer to her family in the bay area. She will be greatly missed by her children Ellen (Michael Zatopa) of San Francisco, son Douglas (Kathleen) of Davis, son Gregory (Adrienne) of Fremont, daughter Anne (Eric Hoedt) of San Carlos, and daughter Mary Jeanne (Diego Bermudez) of Pacifica. Forever remembered by her grandchildren Alex, Nicholas, Valerie, Bradley, Kyle, Max, Erinne, Olivia, Sara, and Diego III. She is survived by her sister Shirley (Felion) Eller of Dallas, Oregon, and is preceded in death by her parents Chester and Martha Felion. She attended Dominican College in Marin, and Armstrong College of Berkeley, graduating in 1949; actively involved for over 50 years in her parish church in Carmichael, she also had been a volunteer at Wellspring Women’s Center in Sacramento. She will forever be missed by her loving family and all who had the good fortune to have known her. A viewing will be held from 5 to 7 pm followed by a rosary vigil on Sunday, April 23 at 7 pm at LIND BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME at 4221 Manzanita Blvd. in Carmichael. A funeral Mass will be held at 10 am on Monday, April 24 at OUR LADY OF ASSUMPTION CATHOLIC CHURCH at 5057 Cottage Way in Carmichael. Burial services at CALVARY CEMETERY at 7101 Verner Ave., Sacramento will be made for close friends and family. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Stanford Settlement and Wellspring Women’s Center in Sacramento.
