Rallies and protest events are a part of political life in the Bay Area. Here’s a roundup of what’s happening. WEDNESDAY Environment discussion: Marin County Supervisor Kate Sears will discuss the recent findings of the BayWAVE Project, a study on sea levels and rising tides from Sausalito to Novato. THURSDAY Comedy night: “Comedy Night for Immigrant Rights” will feature Bay Area comedians Irene Tu, Johan Miranda and Zahra Noorbaksh. FRIDAY Memorial: A day of remembrance for workers who have been killed and injured on the job. Climate change marches: In Oakland, a march will begin at 11 a.m. at the Lake Merritt Amphitheater, between 12th Street and First Avenue. In Kentfield, a march will start at 11 a.m. at the College of Marin, 1001 Sir Francis Drake Blvd. In San Rafael, a march will begin 11 a.m. outside San Rafael City Hall, 1400 Fifth Ave. In San Jose, a march starts at 10 a.m. outside City Hall, 200 E.
