Joan D. Bargagliotti

Joan D. Bargagliotti, 82 years old, passed away on Monday, June 12, 2017 in Concord, California after a long illness.

Joan was born on September 7, 1934 in San Francisco to Federico and Ida Bargagliotti who preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by all of her brothers and sisters: Edna Romero, Joseph Bargagliotti, Harold (Liberty) Bargagliotti, Inez Velestino, Gloria Oross and Jean and Eugene Johnson. She was raised with her nieces, Katherine Kahle and Marion Fecchi who, also, have preceded her in death. So, too, did great nephew and niece Mark Fecchi and Linda Terzian.

Joan attend Balboa High School and retired from California Blue Shield where she worked for many, many years. She loved the garden and could be found there almost every day until illness prevented her from enjoying simple pleasures.

She is survived by her nieces and nephews, Jean Dubetz, Donna Velestino, Christine Fecchi, Susan Goulart, Kathleen (Jerry) Landers, Frank and Peter (Michelle) Oross, Carole Scheer and Fred (Cindy) and Jeanna Johnson. Joan also leaves many great nieces and nephews.

Special thanks to the wonderful companion Joan had in her neighbor Maria Pereira. Joan loved Maria and found great comfort in her presence and in Maria’s kindness towards her.

The Funeral Mass will be celebrated Tuesday, June 20th, 10:30am at Our Lady of Mercy Church in Daly City. Committal Holy Cross Cemetery.
