I give Bob Myers five more years as Warriors’ general manager. Not that Myers is too soft to endure the relatively rocky times that will follow the current glorious run. He’s tougher than he might look. But GM is a brutal, 24/7 job, thankless in hard times, and Myers is a family man with a worldview.

Bill Russell, to a gaggle of Hall of Fame centers at the recent NBA Awards show: “I would kick your ass.” Look, Russell was a phenomenal player and competitor, but put him on the Chicago Bulls or Detroit Pistons and he’s not rocking 11 rings right now.

year just on the rising value of the franchise. By that standard, Curry is crazy underpaid.
