The Reelz film airs at 9 p.m. The second of four “Saturday Night Live: Weekend Update Summer Edition” specials airs at 9 p.m. I can only hope Lorne Michaels and NBC might be testing the waters to create a more frequent “Weekend Update.” There’s no lack of material, that’s for sure. The fourth season of Bravo’s terrific “Girlfriends’ Guide to Divorce” starts at 10 p.m., with Abby McCarthy continuing to grow as a single woman, with a lot of help and hilarity from her female friends. This season,
she and Barbara (Retta) create a website focused on women their age, called Lady Parts. The fourth season of “Alone: Flesh and Blood” concludes on the History Channel at a special time, 9 p.m.

BBC America explores the “Wild West,” in the premiere of a nature series at 10 p.m. The first episode focuses on the deserts of Nevada and California. SUNDAY Fox covers the 117th U.S. Amateur Men’s Golf Championship, live from Pacific Palisades, at 1:30 p.m. NBC airs the U.S. Gymnastic Championships in a two-hour special at 7 p.m. The Science Channel probes the “Mysteries of the Sun ” in a special at 8 p.m., followed by a related special, “Great American Eclipse: Countdown to Darkness” at 9 p.m. The fourth season of the “Morse” prequel “Endeavour” starts at 9 p.m. on PBS. HBO airs a 75-minute episode of “Game of Thrones ”at 9 p.m., followed by a new episode of “Ballers” at 10:15, followed by a new episode of “Insecure” at a special time of 10:45. What the History Channel correctly calls “The New Age of Terror” began on Sept. 12, 2001, a day after the attacks on the World Trade Center and the Pentagon. A new two-part documentary looks at how the events of 9/11 changed the world. Part 1 of the film airs at 9 p.m. Part 2 airs at 9 p.m. on Monday, Aug. 21. Season four of “The Last Ship” sets sail on TNT at 9 p.m. A new episode of “Teen Wolf” airs on MTV at a special time of 9 p.m. The premiere of the fifth and final season of the sublimely funny Showtime series “Episodes” airs at 10 p.m. It’s followed by the second-season launch of “Dice” at 10:30. The fourth season of “Survivor’s Remorse,” tips off at 10 p.m. on Starz, taking the story of a basketball phenom who becomes an NBA superstar into new territory as Cam (Jessie T. Usher) and other major characters consider their roles in the world, where they came from and where they are going. MChuck (Erica Ash) becomes concerned that black history is becoming appropriated by a wealthy white man; Reggie (RonReaco Lee) and his wife, Missy (Teyonah Parris), are looking to establish economic independence from Cam’s business; and Cam’s mother (Tichina Arnold) is exploring her faith. Meanwhile, Cam is reunited with a significant figure from his past. The show remains very funny, and the more serious plot elements only make it better. Plus, Cam contemplates big changes in his position with the team and in his personal life.
