Diana Frances Heafey, loving wife, mother, grandmothe­r and friend passed away on September 14, 2017 in San Francisco.

Diana, a San Francisco native and devout Catholic, was born on January 25, 1937 to Francis C. Devlin II and Elizabeth Barbata Devlin. She attended St. Paul Grammar School, was a 1954 graduate of St. Paul High School and attended San Francisco College for Women (Lone Mountain), receiving a BA in 1958 and an MA in 1960.

After graduation Diana worked as a school teacher, initially for the San Francisco Unified School District and then for over 30 years as a math teacher at St. Brendan School where she was also active in the Parish community serving as President of the St. Brendan School Mother’s Club. She also served as treasurer of San Francisco Archdioces­an Council of Catholic Women where for many years she helped organize annual fundraiser­s.

She enjoyed spending time with her grandchild­ren, reading mysteries, and traveling throughout California and the West.

Diana is survived by Thomas, her husband of 56 years, her sons Michael, his wife Nancy and their sons Matthew and William, William, his wife Julie-Anne and their daughters Madeleine and Charlotte and Brian, his wife Jennifer and their sons Luke and Jack. She is also survived by her brother Frank (Nancy) and many friends and family. She was predecease­d by her sister Lisa.

Friends and family may visit on Monday September 18 at 6PM with a Rosary at 7PM at St. Brendan Catholic Church, 29 Rockaway Ave., San Francisco. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Tuesday, September 19 at 10:30 AM also at St. Brendan Church. Committal to follow at Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery, Colma.

In lieu of flowers the family is suggesting donations to St. Brendan School, San Francisco, CA.
