Oakland could be interested in NaVorro Bowman.

Former 49ers linebacker NaVorro Bowman might not leave the Bay Area for his next job.

There’s strong mutual interest between Bowman and the Raiders, NFL Network reported Sunday. Bowman is expected to visit the team’s Alameda headquarters in “the coming days,” according to the report.

Asked about the possibility of Bowman visiting Monday, head coach Jack Del Rio said after Sunday’s 17-16 loss to the Chargers, “I’m fresh off this game. (general manager) Reggie (McKenzie) is in charge of that part. We’ll talk about it.”

The Raiders were not especially strong at linebacker to start the season, and now they’re dealing with injuries. Rookie Marquel Lee missed Sunday’s game because of an ankle injury, and Cory James played despite a knee issue.

Bowman, 29, is a four-time first-team All-Pro whom the 49ers released Friday. He could join a long list of 49ers players to move to the Raiders late in their career, from Jerry Rice and Ronnie Lott to Roger Craig and Tom Rathman.

Former 49ers wide receiver Michael Crabtree is Oakland’s leading receiver this season.

ESPN.com reported that the Cowboys will have Bowman visit them after his trip to Alameda. A report on ProFootballTalk.com said the Saints also might be interested, and that Bowman hopes to sign with a team by Wednesday.

Defense fades late: The Raiders are hard to figure on defense. They allowed 30 points to Baltimore on Oct. 8, then came back with a strong effort Sunday — at least until the fourth quarter.

Oakland held the Chargers to seven points and 200 yards of total offense through three quarters. Philip Rivers and Co. then produced 10 points and 143 yards of offense in the fourth quarter.

“We gave them a lot of different looks that he hadn’t seen before,” cornerback TJ Carrie said. “But any good quarterback like Rivers, he’s going to eventually find out what we’re doing and come up with an attack that will be somewhat successful.”

Briefly: Running back Marshawn Lynch was the only Raiders player not to stand for the national anthem. … Marquette King had another excellent game, with a net average of 55 yards on four punts, all of which pinned the Chargers inside their 20-yard line.
