It’s been a paradise of riches for Serra’s football team since starting the season 1-2, especially on the offensive front.

But the Padres weren’t bad on defense either Saturday, recording five first-half interceptions in a 52-21 West Catholic Athletic League victory over visiting Sacred Heart Cathedral.

Chris Park had two interceptions and also returned a fumble 80 yards for a score for No. 6 Serra (5-2, 4-0), whose offense racked up 360 of its 480 yards in the first half when it took a 48-14 lead.

Isiah Kendrick rushed 10 times for 61 yards and two scores. Quarterback Luke Bottari completed 13 of 18 passes for 202 yards and a 38-yard touchdown pass to Patrick Nunn, who had six catches for 89 yards.

As he’s done in three consecutive games, Nunn also completed a touchdown pass, this one a 10-yard strike to Andres Atkins to finish off the

#11 Marin Catholic-Kentfield 55, Redwood-Larkspur 6: Oregon State-bound quarterback Spencer Petras accounted for six touchdowns as the visiting Wildcats (7-0, 4-0 Marin County Athletic League) breezed to victory. Marin Catholic led just 7-6 before Petras threw touchdown passes of 16, 32 and 10 yards before halftime to Peter Brown, Gaven Cooke and Sam Stiker, respectively. Petras also had touchdown runs of 5 and 1 yards. Oakland Tech 28, #25 Fremont-Oakland 20: Despite 275 yards rushing on 17 carries and three touchdowns from Antonio Faaeteete and 115 yards rushing by Odale Hickman, visiting Fremont (6-1, 1-1 Oakland Athletic League) lost to Oakland Tech (4-2, 1-1). Lincoln 14, Lowell 6: Despite suiting up just 18 players, the visiting Cardinals (0-3, 0-2 AAA) gave first-place Lincoln (6-1, 3-0) quite a game. A 24yard touchdown pass from Ronald Pollick to Brennan Nguy was the only score for Lowell, which didn’t have enough players to field a team earlier in the season. Lowell had a chance to tie in the final two minutes, but lost a fumble at the Lincoln 10.
