Judith M. Ruble, 88, passed away on October 10, 2017 at her home in Concord, California. Judy is survived by her six children; Steve, Don, Eileen, Sharon, Bobbie, and Tom. She was also the loving and proud grandmother of 10 grandchildren; Robyn, Kevin, Dan, Kristi, Matt, Tim, Erin, Andy, Brandi, and Adam and 9 great grandchildren.

Judy and her husband Richard met while attending Pittsburg High School and married in 1949. Rich was a career Army officer and veteran. He and Judy lived in many places throughout his Army career including San Francisco, Germany, New Mexico, and Virginia. After retiring from the Army they settled in South San Francisco. In the early 1980’s they relocated to Concord, CA and spent their remaining years traveling and enjoying their children and grandchildren. In addition to raising six children, Judy would often volunteer to help out in the communities she lived in. She tutored math and helped with reading and other school programs when her children were still in school and was a frequent volunteer for her church in both South San Francisco and Concord. She was a docent for Heather Farms and was very involved with Loaves and Fishes program of feeding the hungry. Judy loved spending time with her grandchildren. When they were little, she would take them to swimming lessons and day trips to various parks and museums. She always welcomed her children and grandchildren’s friends into her home and was always there whenever any of them needed her. We know she is at peace now that she has joined her husband, but she will be missed terribly.

A mass in her honor will be held on November 4th at 10:30 AM at Saint Francis of Assisi church located at 860 Oak Grove Road, Concord, CA 94518 followed by a small reception afterwards. All are welcome to attend.
