Lloyd Edward Trower III

Lloyd, Ed to his family and friends, passed away on October 15, 2017 after a long and courageous battle with Alzheimer’s disease with his wife and daughters by his side. He was the son of the late Lloyd Edward Trower, Jr and the late Edith Trower.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Amalia (Mali) Trower and cherished children Karen Dutton (Norman), the late Donald Trower, Linda Burke (David), Janice Richason (George), Patricia Trower (Jenny), and Susan Feblowitz (Alan). He was the adored grandfathe­r of Valerie Kahn (David), Eric Dutton, Josh Burke, Jon Burke, Jenny Burke, Will Richason, Jeff Richason, Robyn Richason, Max Marsall, Amanda Feblowitz, Mike Feblowitz and great grandchild­ren Alexandria Richason, Isaac Kahn and Amelia Feblowitz. He also leaves behind his treasured sister Lorraine Harrington and brothers-and sisters in-law, Mary Vargas, Barbara Vargas, Tony & Bobbie Vargas and Jim Vargas and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Ed lived all his life in San Francisco and the Peninsula and worked for 45 years in the electrical supplies industry. His greatest enjoyment in life was his family. He devoted a lot of his time in activities with his girls such as girl scouts, bobby sox softball and attending many band and choir performanc­es. He walked each of them down the aisle and was delighted when each of his grandchild­ren and great grandchild­ren was born. His second greatest passion was playing golf with his buddies, The Fearsome Foursome – Jim Carmody, Joe Walsh, Cliff Martin and Ed. You could see them regularly in Pacifica and later in Palo Alto. Ed was a 35-year member of the American Fuchsia Society, San Bruno and San Mateo branches, and won many awards for his plants at the San Mateo County Fair.

Family and friends may attend the memorial Vigil on Monday, October 23, 2017 at 7:00 p.m. at CHAPEL OF THE HIGHLANDS, 194 Millwood Drive at El Camino Real, Millbrae, CA. A memorial Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, October 24, 2017 at 10:30 a.m. at St Roberts Church, 345 Oak Avenue at corner of Crystal Springs, San Bruno, CA. Inurnment will be private.

In lieu of flowers memorial gifts may be made to the charity of your choice or to Camp Taylor (kidsheartc­amp.org), a camp for children with heart disease. (Please mention Robyn Richason.)
