Linda Del Rio regrets Trump vote.

The wife of Raiders head coach Jack Del Rio has expressed her displeasure with President Trump, writing on Twitter that she now has second thoughts about having voted for the president last year.

“President Trump I voted for you, which I now regret,” Linda Del Rio tweeted. “Football is a powerful platform — here’s the charitable work we did in Mexico City #NFLproud.” She posted several pictures with that tweet of work the Jack Del Rio Foundation did over the weekend while in Mexico.

Linda Del Rio’s tweet was posted after the president took Raiders running back Marshawn Lynch to task on social media for apparently sitting for the U.S. national anthem and then standing for Mexico’s during Sunday’s Patriots-Raiders game in Mexico City.

On Twitter, the president wrote:

“Marshawn Lynch of the NFL’s Oakland Raiders stands for the Mexican Anthem and sits down to boos for our National Anthem. Great disrespect! Next time NFL should suspend him for remainder of season. Attendance and ratings way down.”

According to the New York Daily News, Linda Del Rio — responding directly to Trump’s criticism — wrote, “Take more time being president of the United States and less time trying to shame.”

Access to Del Rio’s Twitter account was changed to private as the spat intensified.

Lynch’s mother, Delisa Lynch, also responded to Trump’s criticism of her son, tweeting: “what NFL team do Trump own? oh yeah they wouldnt let him have one !! LMAO.”

Jack Del Rio addressed the issue during his weekly meeting with the media Monday afternoon.

“I love this country and I think it’s a great honor to play football or coach football for a living. And so my thought is everybody should pay respect to the flag and stand at attention,” he said.

“That’s how I feel about it. But it is America and everybody can make their choice, and I’ve made that clear, too. So that’s that. I’d rather concentrate on football, but I wanted to address that up front.”
