Broncos (3-7) at Raiders (4-6)

- — Matt Kawahara

When: 1:25 p.m. TV/Radio: / 95.7, 98.5, 102.9 Spotlight on: DE Khalil Mack. The reigning Defensive Player of the Year has a relatively quiet 5.5 sacks this season for a defense that is tied for last in the NFL with 14. In his past four games against Denver, though, Mack has 22 tackles, nine sacks, two forced fumbles and a pass break-up. On Sunday, he’ll be rushing a second-year quarterback in Paxton Lynch , who is making his first start of the season. The Raiders need Mack to wreak some havoc. Injury notes: Broncos — DE Adam Gotsis (ankle), TE Jeff Heuerman (knee), LB Shane Ray (wrist/ankle), WR Emmanuel Sanders (ankle) and NT Domata Peko Sr. (illness) are questionable. Raiders — CB David Amerson (foot) is out. WR Johnny Holton (concussion), G Gabe Jackson (ankle), LB Cory James (knee) and WR Cordarrelle Patterson (hip) are questionable.

THE BIG 3

Will the Raiders’ defense look different with John Pagano making the calls? Pagano has a reputation for finding ways to disguise blitzes and coverages. But how much change can he institute in one week? Head coach Jack Del Rio wants the defense to play “faster” — so that’s one place to start.

Marshawn Lynch has averaged 5.8 yards on 20 carries in the past six quarters. The Raiders were gaining yards on the ground last Sunday before having to abandon the run in a blowout loss to the Patriots. Weather reports are calling for rain Sunday in Oakland. The Raiders might want to establish the run — but will have to do so against Denver’s fourth-ranked run defense.

The Raiders, you might have heard, don’t have an interception in their first 10 games. One more game without one and they’ll pass the 1976-77 49ers for the longest overall streak since at least 1950. Oakland is facing a Denver offense with 15 turnovers in its past six games and a quarterback making his season debut. Can the Raiders avoid more dubious history?
