Getting jump on big Napa festival

- By Mariecar Mendoza

Just in time for the holidays, BottleRock Napa Valley officials announced they will be releasing a limited number of three-day passes next month for Wine Country’s biggest outdoor music festival.

Tickets for next year’s BottleRock, scheduled for May 25-27 at the Napa Valley Expo, will be available at 10 a.m. Dec. 12 on the festival’s website, www.bottlerocknapavalley.com, while supplies last. General admission for the full weekend is $319, with VIP tickets for all three days starting at $699. Other threeday pass packages above the standard VIP level, from Skydeck access to the festival’s Platinum experience that includes artist meet and greets and more, go up to $3,900.

Calling itself a luxury festival, BottleRock pairs live music with the region’s award-winning wine and

food, offering opportunities to meet local winemakers and watch unique cooking demonstrations with celebrity chefs like Martha Stewart, Gordon Ramsey and José Andrés partnered with musicians from the day’s lineup.

BottleRock headliners have included the Black Keys, OutKast, the Cure, Stevie Wonder, Florence + the Machine, Red Hot Chili Peppers, and just last year Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers, Foo Fighters and Maroon 5.

A full lineup of artists for BottleRock Napa Valley, now in its sixth year, is expected to be announced Jan. 8. All ticket packages for the festival will be made available again Jan. 9.
