OFFENSE

Too many mistakes overshadowed some positives. The running game gained 137 yards on the stingiest run defense in the league. Derek Carr hit Amari Cooper for a big touchdown. But in the second half, the offense gave away the ball, wasted good field position and lost the game.

DEFENSE

Yes, against it was another backup quarterback. But the defense disrupted Nick Foles, held the Eagles to 78 rushing yards and did a good job covering their receivers. Alshon Jeffery, the Eagles’ top receiver, did not have a catch; slot receiver Nelson Agholor had four for 35 yards.

SPECIAL TEAMS

Giorgio Tavecchio’s missed 48-yard field goal try with 8:03 left in the game loomed large. Marquette King averaged 41.4 yards on his five punts and pinned the Eagles inside their own 20 once. Cordarrelle Patterson was not given a chance to return a kickoff as Philadelphia kicked short.

COACHING

Head coach Jack Del two physically were themes Rio Raiders’ to and play said Monday start the fast. accomplished They mostly the first task, getting a push in the rushing game and pressuring Foles. But they were shut out in the first quarter.

OVERALL

The Raiders had no positioning to play for, the Eagles were playing for the No. 1 seed in the NFC, and the Raiders took it down to the wire. There’s no escaping the disappointment of a 6-9 record. It appears the defense is building something for 2018. Are changes coming for the offense?
