Stanford lineman headed to ASU

Stanford offensive tackle Casey Tucker announced on Instagram that he will use his final year of eligibility as a graduate transfer at Arizona State.

A 6-foot-6, 300-pound native of Gilbert, Ariz., Tucker started all 14 games as a sophomore and eight as a junior but redshirted last season because the team had plenty of tackles and wanted him to learn to play guard. It’s not known which position he’ll play at ASU.

The 49ers’ Josh Garnett, a former linemate of Tucker with the Cardinal, tweeted: “Arizona State getting a GIFT having my man come home! Beyond excited to watch you ball man.”
