Peter S. Mozzetti “Petey”
October 28, 1945 - January 29, 2018
Petey was a lifetime resident of Brisbane, California. Devoted father of Tiffany Mozzetti-Teele and Troy Mozzetti, proud grandfather “Papa Pete” of Kaitlyn Teele, Isabella Mozzetti, Gary Peter-Ray Teele, Mackenzie Mozzetti and Jillian Mozzetti. Admired Godfather to Joey Witherspoon, caring father-in-law to Richard Teele and a loyal friend to many for decades.
Petey touched the lives of those around him. He loved to talk to everyone. He graduated from Jefferson High School in Daly City and retired from The City of Brisbane. Petey was happiest when at his cabin on Cobb Mountain where he hosted countless barbecues on the deck with friends and family. While at his cabin his refrigerator was always stocked with food and something cold to drink for anyone who happened to drop by. He enjoyed sitting on the deck watching “nature’s TV” which included deer, wild turkeys, raccoons, birds, coyotes... His pets meant the world to him and were also a part of his family. He leaves behind Wild Kitty and Fuzzy (who he adopted as abandoned cats from his cabin). As a child and young man he cherished time spent with his uncles in Napa. He created his own method of fishing and those fishing near him would ask what his secret was. He was once an avid hunter but in his later years took to shooting a camera rather than a gun. Petey had an incredible amount of knowledge and could answer just about any “how-to” question. He had a story to tell for any occasion and those who knew him have stories to share as well.
Friends and family are invited to a visitation from 5:00 - 7:00 pm and a rosary at 7:00 pm on Friday, February 2nd, 2018 at Crosby-N. & Gray & Co., 2 Park Rd, Burlingame, Ca. 94010, and a funeral service at 10:00 am on Saturday, February 3rd, 2018 at Crosby-N. Gray & Co., with an interment service following at the Italian Cemetery.
Those who may desire may make memorial donations in memory of Pete to The Peninsula Humane Society or The Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation.
