Join the NRA

I wonder, since the National Rifle Association has only 5 million members, most of whom do not vote in the board elections, if maybe those of us who believe in gun control should join NRA. I know it sounds like advocating for the “opposing” viewpoint, but, if many of us are card-carrying members with the power to vote, we can elect a write-in board who will disallow the public access to assault rifles and make it very difficult to obtain any gun. I can’t imagine another way to influence the powers that be. Nothing else seems to work to achieve this goal of gun control. Maybe we could elect Hillary Clinton as board president. She is smart and strategic and carries many of the ideals we desire to stop mass shootings.
