Patrick Molloy Of San Bruno passed away on Tuesday April 10, 2018 at the age of 97.

He was Born March 5, 1921 in Co Donegal, Ireland in Graffy near Glenties.

Patrick was the Beloved Husband of the late Bridget Molloy and the Loving Father of Brendan of Odenton, MD and John of San Bruno.

He was preceded in death by sisters Bella, Rosie, and brothers Denny, Danny and Jim. He is survived by brother Phil.

During the war Patrick worked in Belfast and in London as a plaster nearly getting hit by one of Hitler’s rockets. After the war he continued work in Dublin and began learning carpentry skills.

In 1955 he immigrated to America and worked constructi­on at China Lake.

A few years later he made his way North to San Francisco and began work as a carpenter and later joined local Union 22 as a proud member.

Patrick then meet Bridget at a KRB Irish dance and marriage soon followed. They settled in San Francisco and had 2 sons.

Dad was a very sociable person and enjoyed sharing a good story or two. At home he would be quick to offer you a Guinness and shot of Jamison.

Dad also enjoyed Family Sunday drives after Church out of foggy San Francisco to sunny locations like Marin, Calistoga and Sonoma. He also liked taking Family vacations to the Russian River, Tahoe and Carson Valley.

Dad was a volunteer at Laguna Honda Hospital helping transport patients and lifting their spirits by socializin­g with them.

Dad didn’t forget his roots and supported the Irish cause. He enjoyed listening to Gaelic music and following football and hurling. One of his happiest days was when his Donegal football team shocked Ireland by finally winning the Cup in 92. He also enjoyed playing the Irish card game of 25 with friends.

Dad was faithful to Mom, Family and the Catholic Church and always conducted himself with honesty and integrity.

Friends may visit Tuesday from 5-9pm and are invited to attend the Rosary Service at 7pm at Duggan’s Serra Mortuary, 500 Westlake Avenue, Daly City. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday at 10:30am at St Robert Church, 1380 Crystal Springs Road, San Bruno. Burial to follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, Colma.
