Tell-all books

-

Regarding “Daily Briefing” (Business, April 25): President Trump bends over backward to portray himself as probusiness. His deregulation crusade and tax “reform” bill certainly show that slant, although his poorly thought out tariff plan can cause problems for many businesses. However, one kind of business in the U.S. is beginning to really thrive under Trump. The Chronicle reports that James Comey’s book “A Higher Loyalty: Truth, Lies, and Leadership” has sold 600,000 copies in the two weeks it has been out, and Michael Wolff ’s White House insider book “Fire and Fury” has sold 2 million copies in three months. I, for one, expect more tell-all books before Trump’s term ends.

So whatever else Trump does for or against business, he has given the publishing business a huge shot in the arm. Way to go, President Pro-Business!
