The story, which started on page C1, incorrectl­y listed the amount of money a state candidate must raise or spend before being required to file a campaign finance report with the secretary of state. It is $2,000 for candidates running for state offices.

The story omitted the name of a candidate endorsed by the California Republican Party. Konstantin­os Roditis, the lone Republican candidate for state controller, had been endorsed by the party before its May convention in San Diego. Story on ambush in Niger, May 11, A7

The headline about the ambush that killed four U.S. service members misstated their branch of the military. They were all members of the Army.
