On April 23rd, we lost our mother, sister, aunt, & friend Kris Kelleher Willis. Kris fought a long, hard battle with diabetes and heart disease and ultimately those diseases took her life. She is survived by her son Kevin Kelleher, her brother Randy Willis, and her sister Sharon Kittel; also by many loving nieces, nephews, and cousins in Northern California and across the country.

Kris was born on August 23, 1948 to Marvin and Estelle Willis, in San Francisco, California. She was raised in California, going to Cap & El Camino High Schools 1963-1967. A few years later she was married and had a son. After her divorce several years later, Kris moved to Reno, Nevada and became a doting single mother and worked as a legal and administrative assistant, providing a loving home for her family. She also became a small business owner, selling party supplies and entertaining people at parties as a clown. She loved to make people smile and laugh and to mix that with her business was a lifelong dream. Kris was an awesome athlete, bowling was her passion and she was actively involved in bowling leagues throughout her adult life.

One of the highlights of her life was getting baptized and becoming part of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in 1992. She was so excited about her conversion that she moved to Utah to start a life there. Kris quickly became involved in her church and became an important part of the children’s programs there in Salt Lake County. She loved the Mormon church and devoted much of her time to it and to it’s members.

Later in life, she moved back to California to be closer to her family. She eventually moved to Half Moon Bay which is where she resided when she passed.

Kris was one of a kind. A great sister, a fantastic mother, and a true and loyal friend. She had a heart of gold and would do anything for anybody. Her one goal in life was to make you laugh. If she could make you laugh, her life was complete. Her smile warmed up a room and let you know that you were safe. If you were lucky enough to know her, you know exactly what we mean.

We will miss you every single day Kris. Thank you for being our angel on earth and in heaven.

We will be paying our respects to Kris Kelleher Willis Friday, May 18th @ 5:30 pm at Poplar Beach in Half Moon Bay.
