Helen Virginia Gughemetti (Lazarich)

1927-2018

Passed away on May 18th, 2018 at the age of 90 at Manalo Board and Care, where she lived for the past five years.

Helen was born on September 9th, 1927 to the late Frank and Pearl Lazarich. Helen was a native San Franciscan who loved going on her daily walks with her longtime friend, Tilly.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Joseph John Gughemetti of 65 years and her son, Joseph Michael Gughemetti. She was also preceded in death by her sisters, Frances Martinelli, Katherine Barreto and her brother John Lazarich. She leaves behind her niece, Marti Barreto and her nephew George Barreto. Helen also leaves behind her beloved in laws, Richard Albert Gughemetti and Doris Etta Gughemetti, nieces Anne Elizabeth Gughemetti, Tina Marie Gughemetti and Angela Suzane Bergland who preceded her in death. Helen also leaves behind her great nephews, Anthony James Bergland, Jonathan Michael Bergland and Mark Albert Gughemetti.

At the request of the deceased, services will be held in private.

A thank you to Josie Manalo and her staff for taking good care of Helen along side with members from Helping Hand Hospice, Steve and Tim. A special thank you goes to Albert Gughemetti and family for being supportive to Helen for the past seven years.
