The party left standing

Regarding “Obama, Trump bear uncanny resemblance” ( July 27): It appears that former President Barack Obama’s words and deeds will continue to live on to the everlasting hatred that was on display in Andrew Malcolm’s piece. When the current president’s term is over, one way or another, it will be the party left standing’s turn to indulge in its dislike. In anticipation of this happy day, I have this to say: The Republic remains standing. It has been strengthened by the onslaught of the past presidency. Never again will the American people trust themselves to an unprincipled narcissist. The lesson has been learned.
