Enhance social media privacy

Regarding “Social media giants take stock” ( July 28): Here’s my two cents of advice for Facebook and Twitter to continue on a path of profitability that will ensure shareholder happiness: First, Facebook must enhance privacy protections and alert users whenever there is a security breach — especially involving foreign hackers. Second, Twitter must more carefully monitor user tweets for hate speech, and close the account of a certain abusive, name-calling individual who lives in the White House.
