SB1045 by state Sen. Scott Wiener, D-San Francisco: Would expand conservato­rship laws in San Francisco and Los Angeles County.

SB905 by Wiener: Extends the time businesses can serve alcohol until 4 a.m. under a five-year pilot program that starts in 2021 in nine cities.

AB2923 by Assemblyme­n David Chiu, D-San Francisco, and Tim Grayson, D-Concord: Would require BART to zone its vacant property for housing and retail while limiting the ability of cities to obstruct or delay that developmen­t.

AB3118 by Chiu: Would require law enforcemen­t agencies and crime labs to report to the state Department of Justice how many untested rape kits they have on storage shelves.

SB1421 by Sen. Nancy Skinner, D-Berkeley: Would make police disciplina­ry records public when an officer has been found to have committed sexual assault or lied on the job, such as falsifying reports or planting evidence. The bill would also ensure that investigat­ions and reports related to an officer’s serious or deadly use of force would be subject to the state’s Public Records Act.

SB1449 by Sen. Connie Leyva, D-Chino (San Bernardino County): Would require law enforcemen­t agencies to submit evidence from a rape kit for testing within 20 days and mandate that labs complete their analysis within 120 days.

SB1437 by Skinner: Would no longer allow a person to be charged with murder if they were an accomplice and did not actually commit the murder. The bill allows those previously convicted as an accomplice to petition to be resentence­d.
