Biles wins 13th career world gold

Simone Biles made history by picking up her record 13th career gold medal at the world gymnastics championships when she cruised to victory in the vault final in Doha, Qatar.

She also won silver on uneven bars, her weakest event, finishing behind Belgium’s Nina Derwael. Still, Biles became the first American woman to earn a world championship medal on all four events. Golf: Peter Uihlein birdied five of the last seven holes for a 5-under-par 66 and a twostroke lead in the Shriners Hospitals for Children Open in Las Vegas. He’s at 131 through two rounds. Minjee Lee shot an 8-under 64 on Saturday as she grabbed a three-stroke lead over Sakura Koiwai after two rounds of the Japan Open in Shiga. Lee is at 131.
