The New Home Company announces Gala at The Cannery grand opening
The New Home Company has announced the opening of Gala, the final collection of forsale residences at The Cannery, California’s awardwinning new-home community in Davis.
Highlighted by singlelevel layouts with semiprivate elevator access, Gala suits a variety of lifestyles from young couples and local professionals to empty nesters looking for a turn-key, low-maintenance home in a vibrant setting.
A grand opening and debut of model homes is set from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. this Saturday, Nov. 10.
Built by New Home and designed by Robert Hidey Architects, Gala offers a variety of floor plans ranging from 1,191 to 1,995 square feet with two to three bedrooms and two to two-and-one-half baths. Each residence features a private deck and offers direct access to a ground floor garage.
Gala’s pre-opening sales campaign has already secured 26 home buyers to date. Prices at Gala begin in the mid-$400,000s.
“Gala represents the final chapter of what has been an incredible story for us at The Cannery, a community that has earned international media attention and top home building industry awards for its thoughtful land plan and mix of residential offerings,” said Kevin Carson, Northern California President for New Home. “We could not be more pleased with the initial sales success at Gala and expect it to continue after our highly anticipated grand opening.”
Four of the original neighborhoods at The Cannery — Heirloom by NWHM, Persimmon by Shea Homes, Beech by CalAtlantic Homes and Sage by NWHM — are sold out.
Tilton by Shea Homes will soon release its final phase of cottages that showcase up to five bedrooms and three baths, ranging from 1,706 to 3,024 square feet. Tilton is priced from the mid-$800,000s.
The Cannery is an innovative mixed-use community designed with a 7-acre Urban Farm on the former Hunt-Wesson tomato cannery facility near the center of downtown Davis.
