Albert B. Leahy
April 4, 1929 - December 2, 2018
Passed away peacefully on December 2, 2018 at the age of 89. A third generation San Franciscan, he was the son of William P. Leahy and Ruth Borden Leahy and brother of Donald, Bruce, Marian (Lila), and William Leahy.
Albert lived all his life in San Francisco, almost all in the Mission District, and worked 31 years as a manager for the National Shirt Company. He enjoyed entertaining and was a genial and engaging host. He dressed impeccably and hunted out unique watches, pieces of jewelry and other fine objects, often as gifts. His many friends relied on him for his good company, thoughtfulness, and generosity.
He is survived by his sister Marian, nieces Elisabeth Paulsen and Paula Jesson of San Francisco, nephews John Leahy of Caldwell, Idaho and Michael Leahy of Phoenix, Arizona, and faithful friends Paul Paulsen of San Francisco and Cynthia Folkmann of Larkspur. He was predeceased by his best friend, Frank Folkmann.
Albert’s favorite charity was his friends. In lieu of flowers, please buy yourself something beautiful to remember him.
