Passed away peace­fully on De­cem­ber 2, 2018 at the age of 89. A third gen­er­a­tion San Fran­cis­can, he was the son of Wil­liam P. Leahy and Ruth Bor­den Leahy and brother of Don­ald, Bruce, Mar­ian (Lila), and Wil­liam Leahy.

Al­bert lived all his life in San Fran­cisco, al­most all in the Mis­sion Dis­trict, and worked 31 years as a man­ager for the Na­tional Shirt Com­pany. He en­joyed en­ter­tain­ing and was a ge­nial and en­gag­ing host. He dressed im­pec­ca­bly and hunted out unique watches, pieces of jew­elry and other fine ob­jects, of­ten as gifts. His many friends re­lied on him for his good com­pany, thought­ful­ness, and gen­eros­ity.

He is sur­vived by his sis­ter Mar­ian, nieces Elis­a­beth Paulsen and Paula Jes­son of San Fran­cisco, neph­ews John Leahy of Cald­well, Idaho and Michael Leahy of Phoenix, Ari­zona, and faith­ful friends Paul Paulsen of San Fran­cisco and Cyn­thia Folk­mann of Lark­spur. He was pre­de­ceased by his best friend, Frank Folk­mann.

Al­bert’s fa­vorite char­ity was his friends. In lieu of flow­ers, please buy your­self some­thing beau­ti­ful to re­mem­ber him.
