OFFENSE

Derek of his best Carr games had one of the season with 322 passing yards and a passer rating of 122.4. The running game didn’t get going: 25 carries for 55 yards. Seven penalties killed several drives. Tight end Jared Cook, with a strong finish, could merit a Pro Bowl invite.

DEFENSE

Six drives led by Ben Roethlisberger: three touchdowns, two missed field-goal tries and a punt. Four drives led by backup Joshua Dobbs: two punts, an interception and a loss of possession on downs. The defense gifted the Steelers four first downs via penalty, including two face-mask flags.

SPECIAL TEAMS

Townsend Punter Johnny had one of his better games, including a 57-yarder. Kicker Daniel Carlson has made his last nine field-goal attempts. Penalties were an issue here, too, with one face mask and one fair-catch interference.

COACHING

Despite players their have record, maintained that there is strong cohesion in the locker room and belief in the team. The Raiders have been in tight games into the fourth quarter in the past three games against teams fighting for playoff position.

OVERALL

Carr led his 16th career fourth-quarter comeback — a hallmark of the Raiders’ 12-win season in 2016 — with a ragtag group of receiving targets. Pittsburgh is reeling, but given that their other two wins came against rookie quarterbacks, this was arguably the Raiders’ best victory of the season.
