Warren Ruehle

On Friday, February 8th, we lost our beloved son Warren. His suicide was a complete shock to all of us and our entire community. Words cannot express our grief and sorrow. Warren was 17 years old.

Warren was a kind and gentle soul who always made sure no one was excluded. He had a brilliant mind, and an athletic body. His depth and talents could connect with everyone on some level. As was said by a fellow student, “You either loved Warren or you didn’t know him.” Warren was a straight-A student, recently applied to colleges, and was even taking a night course at the local JC to meet a UC requirement. His first college acceptance letter arrived the day after he died.

Warren is deeply missed by his family — his mother, Kate; father, Glenn; eldest sister, Alyssa; twin sister, Kara; and all his extended family. We will remember all of the happiness and humor he shared with us, and will feel him through our pets that he loved like they were people.

We are grateful to be surrounded by an abundance of love from our family, our friends, and our entire community.

A celebration of his life will be held at Unity in Marin, 600 Palm Dr, Novato on Saturday, February 16 at 2:00pm. All are welcome.

Hold your friends and family close and know that you are loved and that even though it may not always seem like it, life is worth living. If you are struggling in any way, please reach out and ask for help. National Suicide Prevention Lifeline 1-800-273-8255. Assisted by Monte’s Chapel of the Hills, San Anselmo, CA.
