There’s no shortage of cultural activities to explore around the Bay Area this Memorial Day weekend — especially festivals. From world music to internatio­nal arts and film festivals, this weekend is packed with plenty of fun things to do around the region. Carnaval San Francisco A celebratio­n of Latin American and Caribbean culture themed “La Cultura Cura — Culture Heals,” featuring a parade, live music, dance, costumes, food, activities, exhibitors, vendors and more. 10 a.m.-6 p.m. Saturday-Sunday, May 25-26. Afro Soca Love: Oakland Outdoor Festival A block-party-style event celebratin­g the nexus of Afro-Caribbean cultures. The all-day party features

a marketplac­e with Afro-Caribbean vendors, an outdoor drinking village and performanc­es from internatio­nal musicians. Noon-7 p.m. Monday, May 27. $5-$10. Lot 13, 341 13th St., Oakland.

Mill Valley Memorial Day Ceremony and

Parade A ceremony begins at 9:45 a.m. in Lytton Square, followed by a parade at 10:30 a.m. that begins at Old Mill Park on Throckmort­on Avenue. The parade turns down Miller Avenue, ending at Tamalpais High. Downtown Mill Valley.
