SAN ANTONIO — Warriors center Marquese Chriss has been fined $35,000 for shoving Mavericks guard Lu

ka Doncic to the floor, the NBA announced Monday.

Per a league news release, the “amount of the fine was based in part on the fact that Chriss has been disciplined on several prior occasions for physical altercations on the court.”

Late in the third quarter of Saturday’s loss to the Mavericks, Chriss grabbed a rebound and appeared to smile at Doncic. After the ball was knocked loose, Chriss and Doncic got tangled up, with Chriss then shoving Doncic into the photographers along the baseline.

Officials reviewed the sequence and assessed Chriss a technical foul. Mavericks guard Seth Curry, Stephen

Curry’s younger brother, hit the ensuing free throw.

Chriss arrived in San Francisco in September with a reputation for a short temper, but he has reined in his aggression this season. Saturday’s altercation was his first notable outburst as a Warrior.

In 17.2 minutes per game this season, Chriss, 22, is averaging 7.4 points, 5.3 rebounds and 1.7 assists.

Medical report: Center Willie CauleyStein and guard D’Angelo Russell have been ruled out of Tuesday night’s game against the Spurs with flulike symptoms. CauleyStein did not fly with the team to San Antonio, but he has yet to officially be ruled out of Thursday’s game in Minnesota. Russell and guard

Ky Bowman were both held out of practice Monday with flulike symptoms.

Paschall, who has sat the past two games with a hip issue, returned to practice Monday.

With CauleyStein out Tuesday, Chriss should get his second start of the season at center.
