Destiny Slocum had 15 points and 11 assists and No. 8 Oregon State rebounded from its first loss of the season with an 8144 victory over visiting Cal on Friday night.

Jaelyn Brown had a gamehigh 23 points for the Bears (88, 05), who have lost five games in a row.

Patricia Morris gave Oregon State (161, 41 Pac12) a lift off the bench with a careerhigh 13 points. She was 6 for 6 from the field.

Oregon State, which was playing for the first time since losing 5547 to Arizona State on Sunday in Tempe, outrebound­ed Cal 5125.

The game was tied at 17all after the first quarter. Oregon State took control with a 160 run in the second quarter and led 3722 at the break.

Brown picked up her third foul at 5:49 of the second quarter and Oregon State outscored the Golden Bears 142 with her on the bench.

The Beavers, playing for the first time since losing 5547 to Arizona State on Sunday in Tempe, dominated the second half.

Cal starting center CJ West, the team’s leading rebounder and thirdleadi­ng scorer, suffered an apparent injury above her eye late in the first quarter and did not return.

The Bears fell to 15 against ranked opponents this season. Sunday’s game at No. 6 Oregon will be the Bears’ fourth consecutiv­e game against a top10 team.

#15 Michigan St. 67, Wisconsin 55: Cassius Winston had six points and four assists to give him the Big Ten record for career assists as the host Spartans (144, 61 Big Ten) beat the Badgers (117, 43). Former Spartan Mateen Cleaves held the record with 816.

Iowa 90, #19 Michigan 83: Luka Garza scored 33 points and four Iowa players scored in double figures as the host Hawkeyes (135, 43 Big Ten) beat the Wolverines (116, 24). CJ Fredrick had 21 points, Joe Wieskamp 20, and Ryan Kriener 14 for the Hawkeyes.
