On Thursday, after two Pro Bowl players and a rookie firstround pick had suffered hamstring injuries in a fourday span, 49ers head coach Kyle Shanahan changed the trainingcamp schedule of his bangedup team.

Shanahan canceled a padded practice, which was scheduled to be the team’s 10th session of camp, and had the 49ers conduct only a morning walkthrough.

After the walkthrough, Shanahan revealed fullback Kyle Juszczyk had missed practice Wednesday with a hamstring strain and is week to week. In addition, Shanahan said tight end George Kittle exited practice early Wednesday with a “tight hamstring” which isn’t believed to be serious. On Sunday, rookie wide receiver Brandon Aiyuk suffered a pulled hamstring, which will sideline him for at least a week.

On Wednesday, the 49ers had 10 players sidelined with injuries by the end of practice, with tight end Jordan Reed taking part on a limited basis. In addition, they have five players on the nonfootball injury list or the physically unable to perform list that count against their 80man roster limit.

“When you do a trainingcamp practice with 62 players … that’s not going to last,” Shanahan said. “Our guys came out yesterday and I thought they were real sore. Real tight. Guys were just in kind of go throughthemotions (mode).”

In other injury news, tight end Ross Dwelley (foot) could return next week and strong safety Marcell Harris (ankle) is expected to be back Friday after a onepractice absence. The 49ers received good news on guard Ross Reynolds, who endured only a bone bruise Sunday, when he was carted off the field. Center Ben Garland (ankle) remains week to week, Shanahan said.

“I think we’re all learning what it’s like to go through a training camp with 80 players instead of 90,” Shanahan said. “You don’t realize how it’s going to affect you until you get to this point.”

Roster moves: The 49ers signed wide receiver Kevin White, 28, the No. 7 pick in the 2015 draft whose injurymarred career has included just 14 games and 25 catches.

White, who had a tryout with the Jets last week, didn’t play in the NFL last year after he was released by the Cardinals in training camp. He spent his first four seasons with the Bears and finished his first three years on injured reserve with a stress fracture in his shin, a broken leg and a fractured shoulder blade.

The 49ers also signed wide receiver River Cracraft, 25, who has one reception in nine games since he entered the NFL as undrafted free agent from Washington State in 2017. The 49ers released wide receiver Jaron Brown and waived defensive end Jonathan Kongbo, who suffered a groin injury in practice Wednesday.
