- — Tony Bravo

San Francisco’s electroswing, neovintage cabaret and dance party, Apothecary Raree, comes to you live from the DNA Lounge in a new livestream series planned for the first Friday of every month. And you don’t have to stay home to tune in.

The show is set to premiere Friday, Nov. 6, with the gothicinspired “Dark Roots,” featuring DJs, gogo dancers, burlesque and even a sword swallower. Planned performers for the evening include Calvin Cato, Jain Dowe, May Yang, Melody Grace, Oscar Velarde, Wendy Blades and Mz. K, who will cohost the festivities alongside Angela LaFlamme.

Along with the live stream, DNA Lounge plans to project the show on the venue’s front lawn at 375 11th St. The lounge invites patrons to join them in the parklet for socially distanced mingling, pizza and outdoor cocktails.

Apothecary Raree takes an oldschool concept, the classic cabaret variety format, and twists it for the Bay Area in 2020.

Dark Roots: 7: 30- 10 p. m. Friday, Nov. 6. Free, tips encouraged. Live stream available at www. apothecaryraree. com or projected outside DNA Lounge, 375 11th St., S. F.
