Here’s a handy guide to virtual Turkey trots and other Thanksgiving excitement you can find at home or around the Bay Area.
Benicia Hand Up Virtual Turkey Trot: This year’s virtual run/walk will benefit the Tim & Jeannie Hamann Foundation, which assists local cancer patients. Face masks can be picked up at Hamann Real Estate, 513 First St., Benicia.

Concord Virtual Turkey Trot: The Bay Church presents its annual turkey trot. Proceeds of this virtual 5K/10K run and walk will benefit the Bay Compassion, which helps those underserved in local communities. The first 500 participants will receive a race bib, Tshirt, a finishers medal and more. There will be a free virtual kids dash for ages 10 and under. Winners will be announced live on Dec. 5 on the church’s Facebook page.

San Francisco Virtual Turkey Trot: This year’s San Francisco Turkey Trot proceeds will benefit the San FranciscoMarin Food Bank. Participate by registering online, choosing a 3mile or 5mile course to run and submitting your results by Thursday, Nov. 26.

Silicon Valley 2020 Virtual Turkey Trot: Event includes 5K and 10K run options, a costume contest, virtual doggie dash and more. Proceeds will benefit the Healthier Kids Foundation, Housing Trust Silicon Valley, Second Harvest Food Bank and HealthTrust.

Solano Turkey Trot Virtual Race 2020: Races offered include virtual 5K and 10K, half marathon and 1mile kids fun run. Proceeds will benefit Meals on Wheels of Solano County and the Salvation Army Kroc Center in Suisun City.

Oakland’s ‘VirtuAll’ Turkey Trot: Races include a virtual Stomper’s Stomp for children ages 28, and a 5K race with youth and VIP options available. This year’s proceeds will benefit the Oakland Public Education Fund and the Alameda County Community Food Bank. Registration includes a Tshirt and finisher’s medals.

Harvest Home Animal Sanctuary Virtual Trot for the Turkeys: Registration fee will fund sponsorship of a rescued turkey who lives at Harvest Home Animal Sanctuary. Race shirt and sponsorship card will be mailed to you upon completing your registration.
