_1 Chicago shooting: An antiviolen­ce group has offered a $10,000 reward for informatio­n that could lead to an arrest in a driveby shooting that critically wounded a 5yearold boy inside his home. Early Walker, a founder of I’m Telling, Don’t Shoot, urged anyone with informatio­n in the Nov. 16 shooting of Clareon Williams to contact authoritie­s. Clareon was sitting on a couch with his father when gunfire erupted outside their apartment building on Chicago’s South Side. One bullet passed through a window and struck the boy in the head, police said. Clareon remains hospitaliz­ed in critical condition. _2 Oil pipeline: Two Native American tribes in northern Minnesota are asking state regulators to stop the constructi­on of Enbridge Energy’s crude oil pipeline replacemen­t. The Red Lake and White Earth bands of Chippewa have asked the Minnesota Public Utilities Commission to stay its approval of the $2.6 billion project. They argue constructi­on would put locals at increased risk of coronaviru­s infections as workers move into the area. The bands and other pipeline opponents have sued and protested to try to block the project

_3 Mall shooting: One person was killed and another person wounded following a shooting at Arden Fair mall in Sacramento, according to emergency officials. The sprawling shopping hub was evacuated around 6 p.m. Friday following the shooting. According to the Sacramento Police Department, two people were wounded and the gunman fled the area. The Sacramento Fire Department confirmed one of the victims died; the other victim was taken to a hospital with lifethreat­ening injuries. The coronaviru­s pandemic kept crowds thin at Arden Fair on a normally busy Black Friday, though a few shoppers were there Friday morning looking for the latest Christmas musthaves. _4 Fire threat: Strong Santa Ana winds continued to blow across Southern California on Friday, bringing high fire danger. Around 15,800 Southern California Edison customers were blacked out in four counties as the utility turned off power to prevent electrical lines from sparking fires, and power shutoffs were under considerat­ion for 47,000 additional customers. San Diego Gas & Electric put about 2,700 customers on notice for potential power cuts. Red flag warnings went into effect on Thanksgivi­ng Day as the Santa Anas picked up speed, topping 80 mph in the San Gabriel Mountains on Thursday evening, the National Weather Service said. A gust hit 79 mph at Fremont Canyon in the Santa Ana Mountains on Friday. _5 Police shooting: San Antonio police shot and killed a man who fired on officers and set his trailer on fire, police said. A SWAT team and other officers went to a trailer park late Wednesday after people reported a man firing a gun inside his home, police Chief William McManus said. The man began shooting out of his trailer at the officers and then set it on fire. The man escaped the burning trailer and proceeded to walk around the park firing his gun, McManus said. Six officers confronted the man, they exchanged gunfire, and he died at the scene, the chief said.
