Brian Alexander Russell was born April 27, 1984, to Lauri and David Russell, Sr., at Children’s Hospital in San Francisco, California. Brian grew up in the Lakeview neighborhood of San Francisco with his four siblings. They all attended private school and Voice of Pentecost Church.

Brian was funny, charismatic, and outgoing, with a larger-than-life personality. He loved camping, fishing, crabbing, and being outdoors. He also loved riding his motorcycle along the beach, cracking jokes, and spending time with his son. His laugh was contagious, and he lived life on his own terms. Brian was known for his humor, his generosity, his straightforwardness, and his loving spirit. He truly had a heart of gold.

Brian was a plumber for over 15 years and loved his profession. He also loved being part of his softball team in Hayward. He did everything big and bold and was always the life of the party.

On May 19, 2014, Brian married Makenzie DeCuire, his longtime girlfriend of 16 years, and they welcomed their son, Brian, Jr., on September 9, 2014. Brian was an excellent father and loved his son deeply.

Brian leaves behind his wife, Makenzie Russell, and their six-year-old son, Brian Russell, Jr.; his mother and father, Lauri and David Russell, Sr.; his sisters Emilie, Katie, and Charla Russell; his brother, David Russell, Jr.; and his nieces and nephews—Aaron, Olivia, Maximo, Jacob, Xande, Ava, and his great nephew, Mason. He also leaves behind a host of relatives and friends.
