City should keep up the safety precautions
Like many San Francisco residents, I am ecstatic to hear about the prospect of moving down to the red tier and am even hopeful that we can reach orange soon.
It has been disheartening to see businesses in the community closing their doors permanently as this pandemic continues to rage; not knowing which establishment may be next as our districts slowly lose their personality.
Like many, I have friends who continue to struggle to figure out how they will pay this month’s rent; I serve clients whose mental health has deteriorated due to prolonged isolation, and know so many who became ill and several who have died. These are not uncommon stories as we can agree that this pandemic has taken a deep strain on us all. That is why it is important to remind people to continue wearing masks, minimize interactions with others, and to get vaccinated if you have the option to. It’s important that we continue holding tightly to precautions to reduce transmissions, to keep each others safe and to get down the tiers faster. Let’s not lose sight of what has helped us get to this point, together we can do this!
