LAS VEGAS — Ethan Thompson scored 16 points, Rodrigue Andela added 13 and Oregon State withstood a late rally to beat topseeded Oregon 7564 in the Pac12 tournament semifinals Friday night.

The fifthseeded Beavers (1612) will play Colorado for the title Saturday after reaching the conference semifinals for the first time since 2012. Oregon State’s conference titlegame appearance is its first since 1988.

Oregon State dominated early, building a 19point lead by the midpoint of the second half.

The Ducks (206) stormed back, going on a 153 run to pull within 6156 with 4½ minutes left. Oregon State’s Jarod Lucas hit a 3pointer to stop the run and the Beavers quickly pushed the lead back to 12.

“We know what we can do,” said Oregon State’s Zach Reichle, who had 12 points. “We’re coming out and showing it.”

Colorado 72, USC 70:

D’Shawn Schwartz scored on a putback dunk with 3.3 seconds left as the Buffaloes (227) beat the Trojans (227) in the second semifinal after blowing a 12point second half lead.

Colorado led 6856 with 3:54 remaining, but Tahj Eaddy led a USC push by scoring all 11 of his points during a 142 run.

After Eaddy’s threepoint play with 35.2 seconds left tied it, Colorado’s McKinley Wright (24 points) missed a jumper. Schwartz dunked home the rebound.

USC’s final chance ended when Wright broke up a pass as the Trojans tried to set up a shot.

Evan Mobley had 26 points, nine rebounds and five blocks for USC.

Jeriah Horne had 19 points and seven rebounds for Colorado.
